A raw stoneware exterior features subtle brushstokes of thin, nearly translucent slip, leaving the natural texture of sand and stone in the clay body visible to both hand and eye. The interior of the piece is lined with glaze, helping keep the oils and aromas of the stored tea safely trapped until ready to brew.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePictured is one in a series of 2 similar pieces. Slight variations are possible from piece to piece, a hallmark of hand-made pottery.
